Lost Boy ~ M. Robinson

In a world where I had no say, violence became my refuge, and nothing else mattered. Not even my own life.
Until her.
Skyler Bell.
It all started the first time I heard that voice. Giving me hope for tomorrow. My first love was everything all at once.
Consuming.
Maddening.
Forever.
Mine.
Except, I never imagined there were secrets that needed to be shared. Lies that needed to be confessed. Truths that needed to be told. Demons that needed to be buried. Once I realized the depth, the longing, the sadness and sorrow in her eyes mirrored mine, it was too late. Love didn't come to me as heartbreak, it came as everything I've ever wanted. Walking away wasn't an option, but it was the only choice I had.

I finally found the price of love and it cost me...

My soul.

I don't know how Skyler and Noah could survive this, because I almost didn't. My heart broke over and over. The roller coaster of emotions was almost too much. The angst, heart-break and tragedies were devastating.

I always liked Noah, but seeing how much Skyler destroyed him, but he chose to keep moving....well he has all my respect. He never had it easy. Everyone was leaving him or choosing something/someone else over him. I don't blame Noah for the decisions he made. Frustrated and screaming at the book because of them, absolutely. But I didn't blame him. I am surprised he remained as stoic as he did.

Skyler has been misled her whole life. It just breaks my heart to hear all her secrets revealed and what she went through, even as a child. How does someone come back from that? How could she heal? How could her and Noah ever heal from all the tragedy??

I kept pushing because I knew M would pick up the pieces, but as my heart and jaw laid on the floor, it was really hard. I just wanted them to be happy for five minutes before something else tore them to shreds. I was very proud of Noah and Skyler even-though I was frustrated with their decisions. I loved this cover and Noah's place in my hear grew. I'm happy for this Lost Boy.

Legend (The REAL series Book 6) ~ Katy Evans

Maverick “the Avenger” Cage wants to rise to the top and become a legend in the ring. Though he keeps his identity well guarded, he's known on the fighting circuit as the new kid with a chip on his shoulder and a tattoo on his back that marks him as trouble. He's got a personal score to settle with the Underground's one and only Remington "Riptide" Tate.

As Mav trains, he meets a young girl—the only other new person in the town--and sparks fly. When things get heated between them, he finds out she's none other than Reese Dumas, the cousin of Remington Tate’s wife. A girl who's supposed to root against him and a girl he's supposed to stay away from.

But Maverick fights for the woman in his heart, and the monsters in his blood. The world’s eyes are on them and the victor will go down in history as the ultimate fighting champion; the ultimate LEGEND.

When I read this, all I could feel was pride. I was proud of Maverick, Reese, Oz, and of course Remy. As much as this was Mavericks and Reese’s story, Remy played an integral part, which just further solidified my love for him.

I absolutely, unequivocally loved this book. The characters were complex and had their own issues, but it didn’t stop them from speaking their minds. I feel in love with Reese and Maverick probably just as quickly as they fell for each other. Nothing in life is perfect and whole both had demons in their past, they were both able to support and love each other as they are. They were cast aside, placed in the friend zone and ostracized, but they found and understood each other. They were made for each other and with each battle (mentally, physically, emotionally) that they went through, it further confirmed, they were “with” each other.

The adrenaline before the fights, I felt. The love between Reese and Maverick, Remy and Brooke, all of their love for Racer, it just hit me right in the feels. What an inspirational and powerful story. I cannot say enough great things about Legend. It is definitely just that…..a Legend.

Souls Unfractured (Hades Hangmen #3) ~ Tillie Cole

 photo Synopsis black scratch_zpst2tpkl6v.png
"For fractured souls are like magnets.
Drawn to collide into an impossible bliss…"

Labeled a ‘Cursed’ woman of Eve from birth, Maddie has endured nothing but pain and repression at the hands of The Order’s most abusive elder, Moses. Now living with her sister in The Hangmen’s secluded compound, finally, Maddie, is free. Free from the suffocating faith she no longer believes in. Free from endless years of physical and mental torment.

Just… free…

At age twenty-one, the timid and shy Maddie is content to live within the confines of her new home—safe from the outside world, safe from harm and, strangely, protected by the Hangmen’s most volatile member; the heavily pierced and tattooed, Flame.

Flame.

The man who ceaselessly watches over her with his midnight dark and searing eyes. The man who protects her with a breath-taking intensity. And the man who stirs something deep within her numbed heart.

But when circumstances conspire for Flame to need HER help, Maddie bravely risks it all for the broken man who has captivated her fragile soul.

The Hangmen’s most infamous member, Flame, is ruled by one thing—anger. Plagued by haunting demons from his past, an all-consuming rage, and isolated by an abhorrent hatred of being touched, Flame's days are filled with suffocating darkness, pierced only by a single ray of light—Maddie. The shy, beautiful woman he cannot purge from his thoughts. The woman he has an overwhelming need to possess…

... the only person who has ever been able to touch him.

Flame’s mission in life is to protect Maddie, to keep her safe. Until a trigger from his troubled past sends him spiraling into madness, trapping him in the deepest recesses of his disturbed mind.

His Hangmen brothers fear that Flame is beyond saving.

His only hope of salvation: Maddie and her healing light.

Dark Contemporary Romance.

Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, disturbingly sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language, and very mature topics.

Recommended for age 18 years and over.

Amazing!! Truly, there are no words to describe how profound this story is. I could not wait for this release and Tillie Cole did not disappoint.

Maddie and Flame are explosive….. Emotionally, physically and mentally. The glimpses we see in to these two’s past is completely gut wrenching and I physically want to do harm to those that caused their pain. They were told they were evil, that they were sinners and that no one would love them. Yet, they are two of the most loveable people.

As “different” as Flame is, his openness with Maddie is refreshing and inspiring. Instead of all the fluff or pretty words that most women want, Maddie needs honesty. That is what Flame can give her. She is the one he can touch and she calms the flames. His protective instincts for her are sexy as hell and makes Maddie feel safe. With that sexy body, dark soulful eyes and hot beard, what more could you want?

Maddie has her own demons from her past she wants to move on from. Feeling damaged herself; Maddie is able to understand Flame’s struggles and is strong enough to try for the both of them. Her sketches tell Flame exactly what she hopes and dreams for them and Flame comes to realize he wants the same thing, but only from Maddie. She might be “the little one,” but she’s a fire cracker and the only one tough enough to be Flame’s old lady.

Their love is timeless. It will be one for the ages and Souls Unfractured just pulls at every heart string you have. It’s raw, gritty, and emotional, with beautiful scenes of love and devotion. I could not put this down and I cannot wait for more!!!
