True (Temptation Series Book 6) ~ Ella Frank

True - adjective: That which is accurate or exact.
I dare you to try.
I think you’re my truth.
Terrify me.
Marry me.
Marry me.
Marry me...
Four years ago, Logan Mitchell walked into Tate’s life and challenged him to see it differently.
He dared Tate to try a kiss, when normally he wouldn’t have.
He begged him to take a chance, when he probably shouldn’t have.
But most importantly, he asked Tate to trust that he would love him, and he did. From that moment on, Tate realized exactly what his life had been missing—Logan.
Happily-ever-afters come in many different forms. But for Tate Morrison, there’s only one ending he wants. The one where the guy marries the guy and true love conquers all.
Now all he has to do is tell Logan.
Join Logan and Tate as they finally realize what the rest of us knew all along. That they belong together for better or worse—always.

These guys are where #relationshipgoals comes from. I just love Logan and Tate. True was everything I hoped it would be. This is bittersweet because its a wonderful conclusion to their story, but I could still read about them all the time. I love Ella's note to the fans, because she too understands how invested we are in these guys. I am completely attached to Logan and Tate.

True was fun, witty, romantic and emotional. Hit me right in the feels through the entire book. I laughed and had happy tears. We ran in to some old people and while I though the meeting would be disastrous, it turned out pretty well. The twists and surprises were excellent and I cannot wait for our certain flamboyant friend to get his own story.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Logan, Tate and Ella's writing. She is just brilliant. I love her books almost as much as I love Logan and Tate.

These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.

Gah! I could not wait for this book and I am so thankful that I was able to receive an ARC! This is one of my top picks for 2016! The anticipation from that last cliffy had me chomping at the bit! I devoured Broken Prince and absolutely loved the writing. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened next. The angst, the drama, the sexual tension….all of it just had me wanting to finish the book ASAP, but at the same time, it was so good, I wanted it to last.

This book makes you fall in love with Reed Royal all over again. I mean he was kind of a dick in Paper Princess…..ok, not kind of, but a total arrogant ass. That was until he realized his love for Ella. Broken Prince really shows how broken Reed and the rest of the Royals are, but it also further solidifies Reed’s love for Ella.

Ella is still her strong and smart self, but her hurt of what she witnessed at the end of Paper Princess has made her gun shy. She does not trust anyone and is just going to try to make it through the rest of high school. Easier said than done, though. Reed is trying to get through to Ella and win back her trust. Easton is getting worse in his antics and Callum and Brooke are just off the chain.

I don’t want to say too much, because I don’t want to spoil it for others. I just can’t say enough amazing things about this book. Ladies, you have out done yourselves and I cannot wait for Twisted Palace. I mean how can I not after this ending? I mean, seriously……

Lennox ~ Dallas Cole

"He's an outcast. A rebel--with blood on his hands. But maybe I can save us both..."

Lennox knows he's a dead man walking. He's done his time and paid for his crimes, but the crew never forgets.

Elena Drazic was raised with grease under her nails. She's no stranger to the ride or die mentality. So when Lennox arrives back in town after an accident that tore her crew apart, she knows nothing good can come from his freedom.

But she can't forget how he makes her feel. And when she's with him, she can't remember why she's supposed to stay away.

This is a great debut novel for Dallas Cole. I was intrigued by the blurb, I mean a girl who can fix up cars and a boy who’s a” dead man walking”…. I had to know what happened.

Elena has been in love with Lennox since she was a kid. She would be around him at the shop and he would be her shoulder to cry on. Lennox was her constant, until tragedy struck them and destroyed the only family she had left, their crew.

Lennox messed up. He did something unforgivable and paid the price for it. Being in jail for three years, barely sleeping because you have to be sure you’re not going to be killed in your sleep, can change a person. But, Lennox didn’t change. While in jail, he still tried to do the right thing. (Which he also used to do, which made what happened in that accident so much harder for Elena to understand) He stood up for a jail mate and that forged a bonded, a favor, that he had to call upon when he got out of jail. Maybe not the best idea, considering who the family was who he had to ask for help, but no one else would give him the time of day, except Elena.

Elena rocks. She’s beautiful, smart and can build some kick a$$ race cars. While she’s in a relationship with Nash when we meet her, we quickly learn that he’s not her true love. She tries to take care of Nash and work on their relationship when Lennox gets out of jail, but Nash quickly blows any chance he may have had with her. Nash is consumed by the tragedy that struck their team 3 years ago and completely casts Elena and her feelings aside. She is trying to find her own way, her own path and it seems Lennox is the only one that supports her in that desire.

Elena and Lennox are meant for each other and I rooted for them the whole book. It was a really good, quick read. I couldn’t put it down, especially during the plot twists and when certain people’s true colors show. Even through all the drama and chaos around them, Elena and Lennox are able to stay true to themselves and each other. You will have to read to see if they are able to end up together. No spoilers here.

Tainted Black ~ Shanora Williams

 photo Blurb_zpsdwi4gy3k.png

Dear Mr. Black,

I know you were hurting. I heard your cries. I wished over and over again that I could make it better, but as you stated I was too inexperienced; too good for someone as bad as you.

Perhaps you were right, but it didn't matter because what I did know was that I loved the way you felt--loved the way you smelled. I loved how hard you got for me, and when you called me your Little Knight.

I can still remember that day in the park, when you held me close and kissed me deep. How you effortlessly made me cry your name on top of sweet smelling grass, making me feel like the only girl in the world. I loved how you looked at me, how you spoke to me.
I had been madly in love with you ever since I was twelve years old, but I shouldn't have been.
Isabelle would have hated it--my best friend. I couldn't afford to lose her. Besides, you two had already lost enough. Losing Mrs. Black was the epitome.

It's Chloe Knight.

I wanted to be there for you no matter what, but Isabelle needed me too.

And she would have hated me if she ever found out I was sleeping with her father.

** Tainted Black is a forbidden love-story about a girl who helplessly falls for her best friend's father. After a tragic accident ends the life of Theo Black's wife, he turns to the one person he has always found interesting.

Chloe Knight, the girl from across the street, his daughter's best friend, and a person that is considered completely off limits for him. **

- WARNING: If you aren't a fan of taboo love stories, age gaps/differences, of if you're expecting a novel with that "unicorn and rainbows" type of feel, then this may not be the novel for you. But if you want to read about an alpha male with a tortured soul that rides a motorcycle and owns a boat named Dirty Black, then READ this! You may have just have found the right kind of love story for you! -

OMG!! There is so much I want to say about this book, so many memes I want to create and so many emotions that held me hostage while reading Tainted Black. This forbidden love story grips you right from the start. You know it’s wrong, but Chloe and Theo fit so right. I had a hard time reeling my emotions in for all the characters in this book. The twists, turns and heart wrenching scenes were almost too much, but that’s what makes this book so good.

 photo 702457_zpsmsk8n8x5.gif

The Blacks and Chloe’s family was more intertwined then I ever imagined. I was constantly on the edge of my seat and several times wanted to reach through my kindle to smack someone or hug them. Trixie was one of those people I wanted to throat punch. Not that I felt it was right that Theo and Chloe had to hide their affair, I was going to rip out Trixie’s hair for blackmailing them.

You could feel Chloe and Theo’s love for each other. Their chemistry was explosive and the sparks could be felt through my kindle. As much love as they had for each other, their love for Theo’s daughter, Izzy overcame it all. Get the tissues ready for that. I understand and get it, but my heart is still with Theo and Chloe. (Sorry, trying not to spoil too much if you haven’t read it yet…..because you need to)
