Into the Nothing (Broken Outlaw Series #1) ~ BT Urruela

Xander Evans has been on the road for many years. Never settling. Always moving from one place to another, unable to let go of his past. He lived a tragic childhood, spending most of those years in foster care. He's never felt like he's had a home. That is until he stops in the small town of Truman Valley, Missouri, where he meets a woman who will change everything he's ever known.

Paige Watson has it all. A loving family, beautiful home, and a great career. The only thing she's missing....is love. After escaping an abusive relationship, she opens her heart up to a stranger. He is unlike any man she's ever met. He came into her life and turned it completely upside down. Everything is perfect. That is, until one fateful night.

A night that would tear the Watson family apart, never to be put back together again.

A night that would send Xander away to prison for life.

I am so freaking proud of BT! Into the Nothing was really good. The story line pulled me in from the first chapter and I couldn’t put it down. BT’s writing was clean, straightforward and intriguing. His characters had their own personalities and they were written really well. I couldn’t help falling for Xander and loving Paige.

Xander is sexy, strong and a complete gentleman, but he also has secrets…. Secrets that cause him to move from place to place and not really have a “home.” He’s honest and direct with everyone he meets, but doesn’t really open up to anyone, until Paige.

Paige is a genuine sweetheart; beautiful AND smart. The minute she sees Xander, she’s struck by his rugged hotness. He comes to her rescue and instantly earns her father’s respect. After coming over for a Watson family dinner and a subsequent job offer, Paige is able to start breaking down Xander’s walls. There’s something special about her that he can’t resist. She just gets him.

There are a couple plot twists that I didn’t see coming and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. There were moments where I choked up and others where I wanted to beat someone with my kindle. I cannot wait for the next Broken Outlaw Book!

Chaos (Phoenix Undercover Book 2) ~ C.A. Harms

The devil wears many masks, and everyone’s world will crash when the truth comes out…
The life of an undercover FBI agent can be dark.
The things you see can never be unseen.
The effects it has on your mind, leave a gaping hole in your soul.
Agent Joshua Phoenix found the one person he knew could save him from the darkness, but just when things become real, she’s ripped from him without warning...
He is forced to watch his life go on without him.
His presence is just too dangerous to those he loves.
But how far will things go?
With only a short list of those he can trust, Josh must race to find answers, before fate is decided for him. Gabriella’s in danger and yet no one around her knows it.
And a man who everyone believes they can trust, may just be the devil himself…
Will Josh and Greyson solve this case before it’s too late?
Or will Josh lose Gabby forever.

Talk about angst and heart wrenching! To know, see your loved ones having to move on without you…..actually to see them struggle to move on without you, just twisted my stomach. I don't know if I could have done what Josh had to do to protect the people he loves.

Gabby....Wow did I feel for Gabby. What she went through and the creeper she had to deal with still gives me goosebumps. She's a strong woman, but even the strongest break when they lose someone they love. It ripped my heart up watching her suffer and trying to cope.

There were some twists that I did suspect would happen, but there were a couple that came out of left field and shocked me. This was a quick suspenseful read and I cannot wait for the next one!

Soulless: Lawless Part 2, King Series Book 4 ~ T.M. Frazier

The finale to Bear and Thia's epic love story.

After the Cliffy in Lawless, I could not wait to get my hands on Soulless! And Holy WOW! I was not expecting some of the twists that happened. I was completely riveted to Thia and Bear’s story, but I will say this…..I still want more!!!

While King has my heart, Bear makes an excellent play for it. His devotion and love for Thia is all consuming. He would do anything for her, just as she would do for him.

Thia is a tough cookie and I love a strong female character. She can be strong but still need her man; and Thia needs Bear just as much and he needs her.

There are so many things I want to say, but can’t for risk of spoiling it for others. Soulless was exciting, angsty, amazingly written and overall fabulous read. Please give me more of these characters T.M!! That ending!!!

Absolution ~ LP Lovell and Stevie J. Cole

Blurb
Evie

All sins are equal in the eyes of God, but I'm not God. One sinner made me his sin, and I can't let men like him live. I want to kill them. Every. Last. One.

Ezra James is no different. I was going to kill him, but then I found myself obsessed and possessed in the most reverent of ways. I became his sinner, and he became my sin, but the wages of sin is death, so I must kill him.

Ezra

The son of a whore, raised by criminals, molded to fit into a world without morals. I've never given a shit about anything until the night I watched a man drop dead at the feet of my little killer. She called to my depravity, and everything in me demanded that I take her, possess her, own her. Some monsters hide behind the faces of angels.

Damned. Broken. Irredeemable.

Through blood, absolution shall be found.

Review
**Warning: This book is very dark and twisted…..And I loved every moment of it**
I love it when the main characters of the story are both f*#$ed up and it’s not one trying to save the other from their demons. Evie and Ezra both have their own demons and their demons seem to be in love with each other. They feed off each other and cause wonderful suspense and drama.

From the moment I started this book, my jaw was on the floor. Evie and Ezra’s relationship is eccentric, to say the least. He loves to beat her and cause her pain and Evie relishes in it. She needs it to absolve her of her sins….murder. But she feels the people’s lives she ends are bad and they deserve to die. She lures these men who cheat on their wives or pay for prostitutes and kills them. When she starts falling for Ezra, her murderous ways change to gain his attention and at times are spurred on by jealousy. She begs for his punishment and her absolution.

Ezra can’t help but be excited by his little killer’s jealousy, but demands she understand that he will deal out his punishment when and as he sees fit. Ezra can’t get Evie out of his head and while he says he can’t love, we watch him fall for her. He realizes he would do anything for her and when Evie’s past rears its ugly head, he does just that. Ezra is definitely not your typical book boyfriend, but he is a f&*@ed up version of one.

This story is dark, twisted and erotic. Who knew bloodshed, murder and suspense could be written so well to label it as…..well….HOT?!? LP and Stevie “killed” it and rocked Evie and Ezra’s story!
