Contracted by Marni Mann

Years ago, I was burned by a woman.
I forgave, but I haven’t forgotten, and it’s a road I’ll never go down again.
My career has become my life instead. I’m Max Graham, the biggest music agent in the business. Women love me, but I don’t do love anymore. I’ve found another way to meet my needs.
Eve Kennedy—stylist to the stars and total bombshell. By far, she’s the most daring woman I’ve ever had in my bed with a sexual appetite as ferocious as mine.
We might just have the hottest sex life in Miami and LA.
We don’t date anyone else—although, sometimes, we invite someone for a night. We travel the world, and I lavish her with gifts. But she knows my career comes first.
And the best part? For the past two years, she’s been happy with our arrangement.
Or so I thought.
I’ve survived heartbreak once before, but this one could be the end of me.

Eve and Max were HOT right from the start. Their chemistry was off the charts and they sizzled. For two years everything was great and status quo, but the illusive word of "more" came up which threw their relationship for a loop.

Max, having been burned before, didn't want to admit how much Eve meant to him. Everyone around him could see it, even Eve could, yet Max couldn't admit it to himself. He was stubborn and regimented. There was no need to deviate from his norm because it was working. At least until it wasn't for Eve any more.

Eve is a strong and independent women. But even those types of women want to be needed and feel wanted. Gifts and material things are nice, but the emotional connection and commitment is so much more to her. Not being able to express their love verbally or have a definitive direction of their relationship was hard on her. She wanted "more".

I liked the push and pull, the "will he or wont he admit his feelings" angst. At times, though, I wanted to smack Max for being so oblivious to what was right in his face. Max needed to say something before he lost Eve forever. I won't say what happened, just that the last half of this book kept me on the edge willing for Max to pull his head out of his butt. I was very proud of Eve and the way she handled herself.

Endorsed ~ Marni Mann

My client’s younger sister is off-f***ing-limits.

Getting my first big client signed to the NFL was the second best moment of my life. Escorting his sister back to her hotel was the first. Imagining what she would feel like, look like, taste like—none of it was as good as the real thing.

If her brother found out, it would destroy my career, so I ended things between us.

Eight years later, the girl who got away still owns me.

First I’ll make her forgive me, and then I’m going to make her mine.

He’s owned my body for far too long.

It’s been years since he’s touched me, and my skin still remembers every brush, stroke, and thrust. I want to forget how good it felt. Almost as much as I want to do it again.

We can’t finish what we started until I make my confession.

I have a secret—and one that wasn’t mine to keep.

Before he can love me, he’ll have to find some way to forgive me.

Samantha and Jack have this explosive chemistry! But she is the baby sister of his client and he's just getting started as an agent. Jack can't screw this up. Yet, he can't step away. Samantha feels this magnetic pull to Jack and after their one night, feels completely shredded that she read him all wrong.

Fast forward 8 years, these two reconnect and it's like their spark never died. Hesitant as she may be, Samantha still can't deny that her heart belongs to Jack. Jack feels Samantha is the one that got away.  Jack is now ready to go after what he wants, but Samantha isn't ready to just let him back in. There is way more at stake now.

This is a quick, sweet read. Samantha (great name by the way) and Jack are electric, but stubborn and damaged. Jack leaving her 8 years ago really did some damage. While Jack felt like he was doing the right thing, it had some major repercussions that I didn't think they would over come. I enjoyed the "are they" or "aren't they" going to try, angst, even though I may not have agreed how both of them handled things. The story was quicker than I would have liked, but it was still written well. The characters were relate-able and fun. I am looking forward to the next book in the series (but can be read as a stand alone).

Signed ~ Marni Mann

A one-night stand with James Ryne, the hottest actress in LA, was a night I’d never forget…

James: I can’t stop thinking about you.
Brett: I didn’t know America’s sweetheart was such a dirty girl.
James: It gets better.
Brett: You’re too young for me.
James: Eighteen’s the age of consent.
Brett: The things I want to do to you right now…
James: Are you ever going to tell me who you really are?
Brett: The best you’ve ever had. That’s all you need to know.
James: When are you coming back to LA?
Brett: Next week—and you’d better not be wearing panties.
Brett: What the hell did I just watch?
James: Oh my God, Brett! It’s going viral!
James: My life is ruined. My career. My reputation.
James: Are you there?
James: Will you let me explain?
James: Brett?
Brett: Forget everything I said before. Forget us.

I tried to forget her…until she walked into my office, begging to get signed.

Huge Marni Mann fan here! ::Waves excitedly:: When I saw this book, I realized the cover was not a dark-romance-type cover like the last three books of hers that I have read. Very intrigued, I read the blurb. While I am not usually a fan of the Hollywood/rock-star lifestyle romance, this is Marni, so I gave it a shot.

Signed did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The angst had my gut churning and had me on the edge of my seat. The emotion hit me right in the feels. While there is a minor age difference between Brett and James, they were on the same level.

James's character, while young in age, was older in her emotion and mind set. While she may have done things normal teenagers do, she had a strong work ethic, she had regret and remorse and a general sense of self not many 18 year olds have. She definitely gave Brett a run for his money.

Brett is super sexy and smoldering between the sheets. But, man, did he piss me off a couple times. While I may have understood his hurt and confusion, his reaction to said hurt had me wanting to slap him through the kindle. That being said, he did try to redeem himself and he managed to work back in to my good graces.

I loved everything about this book and the characters. It was well written and kept me glued to the pages. Brett and James won me over and made me realize, not all Hollywood romances are the same. I was so happy to be proved wrong.

Monster (A Prisoned Spinoff Duet Book 2) ~ Marni Mann

“Because I came from you, does that mean I’m capable of killing? That I’ll be addicted to blood? That I’ll get off on torturing people?”

The kid had questions.
I didn’t blame him.
He’d only heard one side, and it wasn’t mine.

“Why did you hate my mother?”

Now, that was a story worth telling.
But, to do that, I had to bring the kid back to the very beginning.
When the killing and the blood and the torture had all started.
When I was truly happy.
When I was first called a Monster.

Monster is a follow-up to Animal. Animal must be read first.

Dark and Twisted is exactly what this story is. But it is also gripping, suspenseful and crazy, in a good way.  This is definitely a great follow up to Animal and I agree that you have to read Animal first.

This characters are messed up. All of them. Getting in to their minds and figuring out who is who is all part of the draw. The story sucks you right in and you have to find out what happens next. I have a lot of questions and they were all answered at the end. I guess I just wanted more.

Shank is one self-centered, messed up man. His raw and brutal honesty is painful at times, but also necessary to get a feel for who this man is. His mind is all sorts of crazy and yet, he finds himself completely rational. Its fascinating really.

Kid is probably the most main stream, if you can call it that. His desires to learn more about Shank are understandable, but at the same time, its almost like he's a glutton for punishment. He keeps going back for more no matter how grotesque or dark the responses may be.

I really enjoyed Shanks book, but I still want more. I want to know what happens with Kid and if he every fully figures things out. Once you read this book, you'll know exactly what I mean. Mind blown for sure!

Animal (A Prisoned Spinoff Standalone) ~Marni Mann

Synopsis
I captured the guilty. Locked them inside our prison. Tortured their bodies and abused their minds. I had murdered hundreds. Never recognized one. Until her face. Until that scream. I was hired to take her life. But first, I had to figure out how she ruined mine.

Yep! I think that about sums it up. LOL.

Wow, just Wow! There were lots of twists in this book that I was not expecting and there were others I was secretly hoping would happen. Marni does a great job on taking you through another mind f*%k with Animal.

Beard...Oh Beard. That sexy, hot, dirty man. He was super yummy, but I knew something had scared him. Something fierce. The things that man can do with a flat iron....ouch! But I still liked him. I wanted him to find his peace. His mind was so warped, I wasn't sure if he would ever find it.

Tye....Girl. While I understand certain motivating circumstances, the situation she finds herself in is just f*&ked! I could feel her love and sadness pouring out of my kindle. This girl was in some awful predicaments so I was hopeful she too would find something that made her happy, but not take her life.

I know I have been very vague, but I don't want to give too much away. You just have to read this and go on the roller coaster ride too. Let me warn you, this is a dark, dirty, sexy and wild read. The gifs above say it all. Not for the faint at heart, but totally worth it!

Prisoned: A Dark Twisted Erotic Standalone by Marni Mann

When I opened my eyes, I was in a cell, my body covered in bruises.

Not a jail.

I’d been kidnapped and imprisoned.

I wasn’t alone. I shared the cell with Garin Woods, the man I’d loved since I was a kid.

The man I couldn’t be with because of the secret. A man who would kill me if he found out what that secret was.

Someone wanted to torture me.

Torture us.

One of us deserved it.

It wasn’t Garin.

Holy crap!! The whole time I was asking, what’s the secret? What’s going on? Will someone tell me the secret? AARRRRGGGHHH!!

Man, was this book was a mind f*%k. I had my suspicions on what was going on, but I was still surprised by some of the twists Marni threw in. Well done.

I knew there was something Kyle was hiding and I was dying to know what it was. I could not put this book down and there were times I wasn’t sure how much Garin knew…or didn’t know for that matter.
The torture, the cell, all that Kyle and Garin went through in that cell, along with how they grew up, broke my heart. The thought of them never getting out alive was very real. The torture of their captors was disgusting and downright terrifying. But being in that cell brought the two closer together.

This book made me say “What the f*&k!” several times. The angst, anticipation and suspense kept me up way past my bedtime because I had to know what happened next.
