Finally we get to learn more about Ben and Lizzy. What I have to say is, I wanted to smack Ben several times though this book. Props to Lizzy for staying true to herself.

The sexual tension between these two is off the charts! Ben is one sexy, big, scruffy dude. Lizzy is the loveable, sweet little sister (by marriage)of his band mate. Ben's "too old" for Lizzy and Lizzy is "off-limits" to Ben, but they can't help it. Their attraction is powerful.

When Lizzy finds herself pregnant and not sure how to tell Ben, one major f&*k up a band dinner causes fist-a-cuffs, bloody noses and judgmental looks. While Lizzy is having her own freak out, so is Ben. Unfortunately, Ben does not handle his freak out well and causes me to hate him for a couple chapters.

Lizzy gives Ben chance after chance and completely falls in love with him. Ben, who doesn't realize how in love with Lizzy he is, allows his sister in to the picture to "apologize" for her previous behavior and yet again, another f*^k up ensues. Ben's last hope is getting Lizzy to their concert, when she is already prepared to sneak away on the next plane back home. Will Lizzy go to the concert......You'll have to read to find out. All I'll say is that I have forgiven Ben, if that helps.

I have to say, I applaud this author for placing an actually curvy girl on the cover of her book. No people, curvy is not a size 0 with implants. LOL

I'm a person that feels everything happens for a reason, so when Logan's Fiancé stands him up at the alter, I was like thank goodness, that lying, cheating tramp is out of the picture.

Bella is the curvy girl with the a*$hole fiancé and she works at the hotel where Logan goes to take his honeymoon....er, uh vacation after being stood up. Bella is nothing that Logan ever looked for in a woman, but she is everything he needs.

The chemistry is sizzling, but both their exes make appearances to disrupt their new found relationship. Can we say CLUSTERF*&K?!

Really great, quick, stand alone read.

The prologue sucked me right in! I could not put this down. It really is a story of a family that came from nothing and had to fight tooth and nail to get where they are. The Portland Street Kings murder, steal and race, but their reasons are to survive.

 

Piper and Slater are scorching hot right from the start. There is something about these two, the chemistry, the draw and they can't stay away from each other. When Slater discovers that Piper works for the institution that he despises, it tears them apart. They both fell so hard so quickly, yet we don't know if they'll be able to recover.

More secrets and past terrors comes to a head, linking this family even closer with Piper. Will Slater and Piper be able to get over their pasts and be together??

I cannot wait to see what happens with the Street Kings and the Poison boys, along with Mack and Lana.....

The Angst and Secrets are heavy in this book. I was ripping my hair out since Quinn and Rick would tip toe around each other and not talk. I was upset that Quinn up and left Rick at the end of Locked and Loaded. But I also liked that Rick got a taste of his own medicine.

The heat and love is prominent throughout Quinn and Ricks interactions, but they are so confused by the others secrets (Quinn being MIA for 6 weeks and Rick having a new bullet wound) they don't see it until Quinn goes missing. Yes people, this book ends on a Cliffy. Said cliffy does want you to read the next book immediately to see what happens and if Quinn's Ex is involved. ::Queue dramatic music::

I cannot get enough of Chuito!! Or Tino, or Nova!! Swoon!!

I really enjoy when there is an innocent female character who has nerves of steel. So proud of Alaine! She grabs a hold of Chuito and doesn't let go, no matter how hot the water gets.

Chuito is one sexy, smart, bad ass mother&*#er!! Does it make me a bad person that I agree with his revenge and need to protect his family? If so, I'll make a deal with the devil too.

The sexual tension is as explosive as the twists and turns of this book. Nova and Tino are my new favorite mobsters. I love how emotional they are, which ties directly into their loyalty. Even though Chu won't admit it, he is as emotional as these two bad asses, he just holds it in better. This family that they have created for themselves is the best type of family you could have...Honest and Loyal. I want to know more about Tino, Nova and Tino's Dancer.

Quinn (Annette Hardy) Wallace is a scared and damaged woman after her husband beat her down, physically and mentally. When encountering any male in her new home in Georgia (thanks to her father's old friend Mack), she becomes skittish and freaks out. Several times, while speaking to Rick, one minute she's having perfectly good conversation, but the next, she is cowering behind her hands and backing in to a corner. As she spends time with Rick, she does start to let her walls down.

The sexual tension is thick. Both want each other, but Rick doesn't know how to approach her to tell her he's falling for her. He's scared of his feelings. Quinn wants Rick desperately and feels safe with him, but has heard how he got his nickname. Quinn is not technically divorced from her husband and even though Rick suspects something has happened in Quinn's past, she up and leaves before he can convey his true feelings and find out any more about her emotional scars.

Yes, there is a Cliffhanger and Yes, I will be awaiting the next book in the series. I enjoyed the story line and the quick read. Actually wished this book was longer because I want to know where Quinn goes, if Rick finds her or if her Ex finds her first....
