Into the Nothing (Broken Outlaw Series #1) ~ BT Urruela

Xander Evans has been on the road for many years. Never settling. Always moving from one place to another, unable to let go of his past. He lived a tragic childhood, spending most of those years in foster care. He's never felt like he's had a home. That is until he stops in the small town of Truman Valley, Missouri, where he meets a woman who will change everything he's ever known.

Paige Watson has it all. A loving family, beautiful home, and a great career. The only thing she's missing....is love. After escaping an abusive relationship, she opens her heart up to a stranger. He is unlike any man she's ever met. He came into her life and turned it completely upside down. Everything is perfect. That is, until one fateful night.

A night that would tear the Watson family apart, never to be put back together again.

A night that would send Xander away to prison for life.

I am so freaking proud of BT! Into the Nothing was really good. The story line pulled me in from the first chapter and I couldn’t put it down. BT’s writing was clean, straightforward and intriguing. His characters had their own personalities and they were written really well. I couldn’t help falling for Xander and loving Paige.

Xander is sexy, strong and a complete gentleman, but he also has secrets…. Secrets that cause him to move from place to place and not really have a “home.” He’s honest and direct with everyone he meets, but doesn’t really open up to anyone, until Paige.

Paige is a genuine sweetheart; beautiful AND smart. The minute she sees Xander, she’s struck by his rugged hotness. He comes to her rescue and instantly earns her father’s respect. After coming over for a Watson family dinner and a subsequent job offer, Paige is able to start breaking down Xander’s walls. There’s something special about her that he can’t resist. She just gets him.

There are a couple plot twists that I didn’t see coming and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. There were moments where I choked up and others where I wanted to beat someone with my kindle. I cannot wait for the next Broken Outlaw Book!
