She loved him and probably never stopped loving him, but so much has happened in the 5 years that Ryker has been gone. Nicole is hurt and angry, but she also misses the connection that she and Ryker shared.

Ryker is persistent, dedicated and devoted. Even though he left Alabama and Nicole, that’s where his heart was the whole time. I loved their story and C.A.’s writing.
